You can join if you have Parkinson's disease. You must also be a Veteran OR identify as non-White or Hispanic/Latino and be willing to travel to a Vet-PD Enrollment Center.
Vet-PD is a research study. It collects information on health, disease, and genes to learn more about Parkinson's disease. The study is led by Dr. Cyrus Zabetian and his research team at the VA Hospital in Seattle and includes many VA Hospitals across the United States.

Vet-PD is adding data to the Global Parkinson's Genetics Program. GP2 is partnering with groups around the world to transform understanding of Parkinson's genetics.
Vet-PD aims to learn about gene variants that may cause PD. It will also study how genes and environment interact.
